“What happens in the dark isn’t always bad. It can be a great opportunity to socialize, ruminate, hide, and love.

There is no light without the dark.”

Calgary-based indie pop-rock band Shuffalo release “Whispers”, a catchy new song made for dancing, and singing along to, on summer nights. Inspired by coal plants and the search for meaning, “it’s an ode to the darkness,” Shuffalo identifies.

“Whispers” follows the release of emotive, slow-burning gem “Stay On Me”, both produced by JUNO
Award winner Ryan Worsley and Matt Di Pomponio at Echoplant Studios in Vancouver along with
Shuffalo.

“From the beginning to the end of recording, this song was an electric experience. An incredible collaborative that had all hands on deck, with no shortages of experimentation.”

The two singles succeed debut EP Heart Attack, which was awarded 2018 Alternative Recording of the Year at the YYC Music Awards.
